TOBACCO COMMISSION DONATES COVID-19 MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO THE SOCIETY OF MEDICAL DOCTORS

The Tobacco Commission has donated Covid-19 medical facilities worth 10 Million Malawi Kwacha to the Society of Medical Doctors in Malawi. This comes after calls by the by the State President, calling all Malawian and the international community to join hands in fighting the pandemic.
Speaking at the hand over ceremony that took place on Saturday, 13th February 2021 the TC Board Commissioner Lawry Mbulo who was the guest of honor assured the media present that the Commission will continue working hand in hand with the government and various agencies that are in this fight.
Concurring with Mbulo was the TC Chief Executive Officer Dr.Chidanti Malunga who emphasized the Commission will do what ever it can in its capacity to support the government in this fight against Covid-19.
In his remarks, Dr.Saidi Mithi President of the Society of Medical Doctors in Malawi applauded the Commission for the kind gesture and called upon other companies and organizations to follow suit.
So far, TC has donated 62 Oxygen Cylinders and 37 Flowmeters supplied by Afrox and Oxygen Gas Malawi Limited.
